An amazing cake studio open day in February

After the success of my studio Launch Day last July I thought I would hold another Open Day at the Cake Studio.

I work from my studio by appointment only so these open days are a lovely way to be able to open up to the public without you feeling pressured that you have to have one of my cakes you can just come in for a browse, have a cuppa or a glass of fizz, browse my portfolios, sample some yummy cake, see all the display cakes, see where the magic happens and where I create my wedding cakes and have a little chat.

I had a super anxious moment at about 10.40 on the open day and thought oh god what if noone comes, am I being silly thinking that people will make the trip out just to come and see my little studio (the silver lining of this was of course going to be the half a dozen bottles of prosecco I would then get to consume!!) Anyway, I really need not have worried, by 11.05 I had my first 5 ladies in and it just kept on going from there. I didn't sit down til 3.55pm and it was amazing! I met so many wonderful people, couples, bridesmaids, mums and dads, past brides came in to say hi, current brides came in to do little design tweaks, some industry friends popped by - Kate Lowe, Gracie Bleu Bridal, Avant Garden and Field Photographic.

I took lots of on the day bookings and it was just all in all a lovely day. I'm definitely going to be holding another Cake Studio open day on the first weekend in November so if you are free then please pop along for some cake and loveliness :) xx
