Grey and Gold Leaf Wedding Cake with Sugar Flowers for Gemma and Matt at Tissington Hall
I created this beautiful wedding cake yesterday for Gemma and Matt at Tissington Hall Weddings - the first time I've been to this stunning wedding venue and I can't wait to go back, it's a lovely light marquee set in a beautiful village and hall grounds.
We designed this cake up together in our appointment, marbled base tier with greys and a touch of dusky lavender, ivory middle tier and dove grey top tier with gradiented 24ct gold leaf. I made sugar flowers to match their bouquets by Robert Youngs, ivory roses, lisanthius, freesias, lavender and foliages. We also had a custom made bespoke topper in gold of the heart window in York Minster where Matt proposed to Gemma - kissing under this window is said to give you a lifetime of love and togetherness. Also, we hid a little cartoon super man behind the cake to personalise the cake for Matt in particular!
They chose tiers of Elderflower and Prosecco, Zesty Lemon and Lime and Red Velvet.
They also had lactose free cupcakes for Gemma, hope you both had a magical day xx
